Chiropractic Sports Physician
Dr. Chad Carter earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College following the completion of an Honours Degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University. He has since completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program at McMaster University and is currently an Instructor in Training with the program. He is a full-body Active Release Techniques Provider and possesses a Whole Foods Nutrition Certification.
Driven by his own passion for sports and athletics, Dr. Carter has dedicated his continuing education to various sports therapies which better assess and improve biomechanical dysfunctions, decrease rehabilitation length and optimize performance. In caring for athletes and weekend warriors alike, Dr. Carter follows a functional integrated therapy approach to treating. He is a firm believer in patient-centered care and incorporates techniques such as neurofunctional electroacupuncture, joint manipulation, Graston, ART, custom orthotics casting, kinesiotaping, along with nutritional advice.
Dr. Carter is currently the team doctor and head therapist for the Toronto Jr A Canadiens in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL). He is also currently in the process of becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to help maximize the physical performance of his patients.
